Archive River Class 2022-23
River Class marks the beginning of Key Stage 2; Year 3 and Year 4. This is a large classroom based in the original school building. There is a lovely cosy area for reading, a trolley of laptops, lots of wonderful books to explore and plenty of practical equipment to support learning. The classroom overlooks our playground and astro-turf football pitch.
River Class have been presenting their homework projects about their dream home to the class this week. It is wonderful to see everyone developing their speaking and listening skills and to the see the amazing range of ways that the children have chosen to share their learning. We have enjoyed PowerPoint presentations, models, remote control Lego constructions, artwork, writing, diagrams and maps.
It was Internet Safety Day this week and in River Class we were focusing on the difference between public and private and the information about yourself that can and cannot be shared. The children showed excellent understanding of this vital area and were able to discuss different ways to keep themselves safe online.
