We played a game outside to demonstrate how data is transmitted wirelessly, and how it can sometimes be corrupted.




The Easter Bunny visited the children and left some treats behind! We hope you have an egg-cellent Easter holiday!

World Book Day!
We enjoyed our class trip to The Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford today. We saw some incredibly interesting artefacts!
Today we had a mathtastic day as we took part in the NSPCC Number Day.
We've been learning about properties and changes of matter in Science. We did a fun experiment, dissolving different solids to create solutions. Our favourite was dissolving candyfloss, especially since we got to taste some at the end! Yum!



We walked down to the village Christmas tree where each child hung their own personally decorated bauble. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Well done to Logan who won the photography competition in the children's category for BBO Wildlife Trust. He won a lovely set of books for our school library. Well done, Logan!


After our incredibly fun workshop with The Junk Orchestra, we were inspired to create our own "junk" instruments.

We had fun on our Design & Technology days, learning about textiles and tie-dying garments to express our individuality.






Visit to the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium










The children have been learning the skills to be assertive, and to stand up for what they believe is right. They created posters to display around the school to encourage others to be assertive.




We celebrated National Poetry Day on Thursday and got to write and perform our own pieces. On Friday, we had some fun coding using Micro:bits.






Bikeability Level 2 Cycle Training - Ocean Class learned the core functions for safe and responsible cycling. After spending some time practicing in the playground, the children bravely went on the road with the extremely supportive and experienced instructors to practice their new skills. The children showed our school values of courage and perseverance as they developed this important skill.





As part of our PSHE lesson, Ocean Class had to build a bridge using newspaper and tape. We first decided together on the criteria for a successful bridge and good teamwork. The children then worked well together, showing respect, kindness, resilience and support to build a bridge.

We came together as a whole school to read the story The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds - A growth mindset story about never giving up and always trying your best.
