Forest School
With the support of The Well Trust in Stoke Row, we are fortunate to have our own Forest School in the local Cherry Orchard, which encompasses a woodland area and a wild meadow. Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 attend Forest School weekly.
We believe children have the right to access the outdoors and the vibrant reality of the natural world. We aim for our children to explore their capacity to investigate, test and maintain curiosity about the world around them. Through attending Forest School, our children experience a healthy range of emotions, through all the challenges of social interaction, to build a resilience that will enable creative engagement with their peers and their potential.
Planning, adaption and observation allows for the holistic development of all those involved: fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
Our Forest School is primarily run by our qualified Forest School teacher Chelsea Silver.
