General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

On the 25th May 2018 the current Data Protection Act will be replaced by the new and updated General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  The GDPR is focused on looking after the privacy and rights of the individual and based on the premise that consumers and data subjects should have knowledge of what data is held about them and how it is  used.  To ensure the school and the school PTA (FOSRS) meet the new requirements there are number of policies and procedures which will need to be updated.  In particular, over the coming months we will need assistance from parents & carers to ensure we have the appropriate level of consent for non mandatory data.

Please find letter, sent to parents & carers on the 20th March 2018 attached.
