BARBECUE AND BARN DANCE!
After months of preparations, our celebratory week hit a maximum crescendo of activity and entertainment during the late afternoon and evening on Saturday 28th June, 2003. The beautiful marquee, adorned with blue and yellow balloons, dominated the lawns. The children's bright stalls invited all to take part in their challenging games and the hog roast sizzled gently, filling the air with exciting smells. As the sun dipped down behind the church and trees, the evening was toasted with sparkling wine. Fiddles then began. The enchanting Footnotes Band inspired the least rhythmical of us with their familiar toe-tapping shanties. Raffle prizes were dished out and thanks given to the ever hard-working committee. Thank you so much. A very memorable evening was enjoyed by all.
