When Mr Gomersall took some older children to play Tag Rugby at the Oratory School, Jordan proved himself a very skillful player! Also seen supporting here are Huxley, George & Alex - well done to all!
At the end of Term 5, our teams from years 4, 5 & 6
played against Checkendon.

Langtree Family Tournament February 2006.
Players:
Sebastian Opalinski (C)
Conor Foley Jordan Lewzey
Curtis Dombey
Andrew Mole
Tom Godfrey (SC) Alexander Gass

Results:
Goring 2 - 0 Stoke Row
In our first match against Goring there was some good play, Tom Godfrey showed some good skills by tackling and making a break for goal only for it to be saved by the goalie. Sebastian was strong in goal and prevented many goals from being scored.
Woodcote 3 - 0 Stoke Row
In the second match against Woodcote we went out a lot more confident having properly warmed up. Conor Foley was everywhere on the pitch attacking well, Jordan worked hard and tackled hard. Curtis was also strong up front and formed a great partnership with Conor making good attempts on goal.
South Stoke 0 - 0 Stoke Row
In our third match against South Stoke Sebastian came out of goal for Conor and proved to be as strong on field as he is in goal! Even losing a boot didn't stop him form making a tackle and passing! Tom had an excellent game and made many breaks for goal along with Curtis. Conor proved to be a very good goalie as well!
Whitchurch 2 - 0 Stoke Row
The fourth match against Whitchurch proved to be our best game in the tournament. We had a much more confident start and passed the ball around to each other far more keeping Whitchurch working hard. We were far stronger in defence making sure that we were man to man marking therefore reducing their options to pass. There was great leadership from Sebastian in midfield and the team played well together. It was unfortunate that a penalty was awarded to Whitchurch in the dying seconds, however it was a great game and the whole team played well.
Checkendon 2 - 0 Stoke Row
In our last game against Checkendon we played well with some unfortunate errors where they conceded a goal. However the team had some good shots on goal with some great passes being made around the pitch.
Well done to all those who played, we now have some good experience and have come away from the tournament a far more confident team.
Thank you to Mr Lewzy for coming to support and providing sound advice to the team.
