ART COMPETITION

The Judging of the children's Art Competition on the subject of BUILDINGS was the exciting finale to our Conservatory Opening. Entries were requested in any medium, as long as the finished piece was transportable by the child, and totally their own unaided work!

It has been confirmed that Stoke Row has been awarded £18,000 from the Seed Challenge Funding Partnership toward the cost of the new Four Season Conservatory, being built this Summer. Read more about it here.

INTER SCHOOL QUIZ 2003
We were just pipped at the post as Shiplake won the lastest round in the Inter School Quiz - well done to our team for a great effort!

The 3 Peak Challenge was completed by one of the school Dads in order to raise finances for the school. He successfully climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pyke and Snowdon in one weekend! Well done Andy!

£4000 for ICT
Stoke Row School has just been awarded over £4000 for ICT due to the successful bid we made, based on our development plan. This is fantastic news as computers are most definitely a part of our children's future!

Award

We have also been given a...
SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
by the Department for Education and Skills. It is for the increase in standards in the school between 1999 and 2002! Warmest congratulations to all concerned.

SATs RESULTS 2002
The SATs results for both Key Stage 1 and 2 were excellent, reflecting a great deal of effort on behalf of the children and all the staff. A detailed breakdown of the results is available from school and is appended in the Governors’ Report to Parents.

ART SUCCESSES
Congratulations to Pippa Whittaker, who won the Junior Shield at the Sonning Common Art Exhibition. The Stoke Row Steam Rally Colouring Competition attracted a huge number of entries so we were delighted when Polly-Anna Piercey was awarded 1st prize in the older category. It was even more exciting to hear that her brother Angus had won 1st Prize for the younger age group!
