KS2 Netball Tournament
27th March 2008
On Thursday 27th March 2008 girls and boys from red and green class took part
in a schools cluster netball tournament and did extremely well.
The first match started slowly, Stoke Row were a little sloppy with their passing
and ended up losing to Whitchurch by two goals.
This defeat sparked us into life and we were much improved in the second match,
dominating possession. Georgia scored two goals two secure our first victory of the afternoon.
Stoke Row improved again for their third match. Our passing and movement was excellent
and it resulted in us beating Woodcote B 3-0 with Grace and Katie Butler with the baskets.
We then started to dominate our rival teams scoring eight baskets in our final two games
with Shinaz scoring two and Georgia scoring six. We beat Goring 4-1 and Woodcote A 4-0.
By winning our final four games we secured runners up spot in the tournament
and as a result have been invited to an Oxfordshire county tournament.
The players from our school conducted themselves beautifully;
they were gracious in defeat and modest in victory, a true credit to the school.
