Christian values underpin all aspects of school life

At Stoke Row, we have five core values which were chosen by the pupils, staff, parents and governors. Everything we do at school is focused upon upholding our values and living them out in our daily lives. Our teaching is underpinned by Jesus’ teaching and the Bible which we look to as our example.

We value Perseverance.

We keep trying to learn even if we find it really difficult.

Endurance brings God’s approval, and his approval creates hope.

Romans 5:4

We value Respect.

We listen to the chosen speaker.

We are polite.

We look after our school.

Love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another.

Romans 12:10

We value Kindness.

We use gentle hands and feet, and caring words.

We are helpful to others.

As the scripture says, “He gives generously to the needy; his kindness lasts forever.”

2 Corinthians 9:9

We value Achievement.

We always put lots of effort into our learning so that we can achieve our very best.

You will give us prosperity, Lord; everything that we achieve is the result of what you do.

Isaiah 26:12

We value Excellence.

By following all of our values, we show excellence in our behaviour and learning.

In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

Philippians 4:8
